Latching
mechanisms are brand specific, Jakubuwski says. Each manufacturer
uses a proprietary design. Hardware generally cannot be adapted
to another maker's partition. Complicating repairs is the fact that
manufacturers seldom place their names on the hardware, which means
there is no easy way to determine the manufacturer.
