Canes Kick Ass Against Nebraska Cornholers for National Championship

Eric Crouch was squashed like so many kernels of corn in a big turd. In honor of the University of Miami's National Championship in football, we decided to share this photo and story with you sent to us by one of our fraternity brothers.

'As I drove through Nebraska on a Christmas road trip last week in my new Miami hat, I seized the opportunity to make a preemptive strike at the home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Lincoln.

Outside the University of Nebraska football stadium is a large bronze statue of Cornhusker football players running with a football. Underneath the statue is listed all of the years that Nebraska has won the National Championship.

It didn't come out well on the scanned photo, but I put a big Go 'Canes sign under the statue and put a crossed out "2001" next to the years of their National Championships. Then I posed with the statue, stripping away the football.... It was about 5 degrees outside with fresh snow, but I posed without my shirt in tribute to warmer days in the Orange Bowl and the Rose Bowl. (Beware of the blinding glare off of my pale white northern skin).
