Jamaica Reviews
We have visited this island many times via cruise
ship and as a hotel guest. Jamaica is ain island of contrasts. Great
beauty and great poverty. Great people and nasty people. Great fun
and real danger. There is a reason that Jamaica was the birthplace
of the "all-inclusive" resort. This was born out of necessity
to protect visitors from the local population which ranges from
aggressive drug dealers and crafts sellers on the low scale to hardcore,
murderous criminals on the other end of the scale. Most Jamaicans
are friendly and well-educated but complete lack of an economy or
middle class on the island makes for a tough situation. Venture
from the secure properties and guided tours at your own risk.
